The Lighting Industry Association (LIA) will be building a new lab and a learning academy in Telford, England.

The new facilities are government-funded and will be next to their existing lab at their headquarters in Telford. The laboratory and training academy will cost £1.3 million to create but are aimed to speed up the process for new products to hit the market. The LIA thinks this will greatly benefit the market for small and medium businesses (SME).

CEO of the Lighting Industry Association, Steve Davies, said:

“These new facilities will be a fantastic asset for the industry. It will shorten load times for the introduction of new products especially for the UK SME market as well as raising awareness of the potential of such products.”
