OSRAM SYLVANIA and NorthEast Electrical Distributes have teamed up with the Department of Energy Resources (DOER) Green Communities division and Mass Save partner utilities to offer schools and other state facilities a unique opportunity to save money and energy.
In the US, these companies are offering an opportunity to acquire the latest LED and reduced wattage T8 fluorescent lamps at no charge. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the DOER hope this scheme will reduce energy consumption and depending on fossil fuels. This reduction of this will also help the facilities save money on energy costs.
President and CEO of OSRAM SYLVANIA, Jes Munk Hansen, said:
We’re thrilled to be part of the opportunity to improve energy efficiency in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and encourage the public to bring this offer to the attention of their local schools and officials. This offer is a great way to help our schools and other state-run facilities save money while educating about environmental responsibility at the same time.
President of NorthEast Electrical Distributors, Don Block, said:
NorthEast Electrical Distribution is delighted to partner with OSRAM SYLVANIA and DOER in order to provide this unique energy saving opportunity. Not only will the participants be able to save money by receiving these lamps free of charge and reducing their electricity bill, but they will demonstrate to the citizens of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts that energy conservation is an activity we should all participate in.
